The Practice of Respiration

1998年から始まる、空気圧を利用した「呼吸法シリーズ」の四回目の展示。≪呼吸法Ⅱ≫(1998)で制作したテーブル（Respiration Table)や鉄製ボックス（Respiration Box)に加え、あらたに制作した八体のオブジェ（Respiration Rubber Bag)で構成される。 "Respiration Table"は、テーブルに手をかざすと、空気が噴出すると共に映像が変化する。"Respiration Box"は呼気を吹きかけることによって映像が変化する。"Respiration Rubber Bag"は、ゴム製の袋が空気圧で膨張、収縮を繰り返す。

The fourth exhibition of the "Breathing Series" using air pressure, which started in 1998. In addition to the table ("Respiration Table") and iron box ("Respiration Box") exhibited in "Breathing II" (1998), this work is composed of new eight objects ("Respiration Rubber Bag"). In "Respiration Table", when the viewer holds his/her hand over the table, air blows out of the table at the same time as the projected image on the table changes. "Respiration Box" is an iron box whose monitor image changes by blowing the breath. Eight "Respiration Rubber Bags" are rubber bags that repeatedly expand and contract with air pressure
