BEACON 2015

「BEACONシリーズ」の第７回目の作品。情報科学芸術大学院大学[IAMAS]と岐阜県美術館の共催による「IAMAS アーティストファイル#3」として展示。
この作品≪BEACON 2015 -Look Up! （見上げてごらん）≫は、希望、絶望、祈りなど様々な意味をもつ人間の「見上げる」動作に着目する。 作品全体は三つのセクションで構成され、最後のセクションで、中心となるBEACON装置が動いている。 最初のセクションでは、様々な人々が空を見上げる映像とともに、その動作のイメージを広げるテキストが投影される。 二つ目のセクションでは、鉄製フェンスの中で三枚羽根の黒いプロペラが高速に回転し、巨大な影を天井に落としている。 BEACON装置が設置された最後の部屋では、沖縄、福島、そして岐阜の日常風景の映像が壁面上を移動する。

The 7th work of the "BEACON" series and exhibited as "IAMAS Artist File #3" jointly hosted by the "Institute of Advanced Media and Sciences [IAMAS]" and the "Museum of Fine Art, Gifu." This work, "BEACON 2015 -Look Up!" focuses on the human "looking up" action, which has various meanings such as hope, despair, and prayer. The entire work consists of three sections, with the primary BEACON device running in the last section. In the first section, along with video images of various people looking up at the sky, several words that expand the picture of the action were projected. In the second section, a three-bladed black propeller rotates at high speed in an iron fence, casting a vast shadow on the ceiling. In the last room where the BEACON device installed, images of everyday scenery of Okinawa, Fukushima, and Gifu are moving on the wall.
